Vernon Andrew Davidson was born on June 28,1943
to Jim F. Davidson and Sevina E. Davidson in Clifton
Colorado. Passed away on May 23, 2023 in Yukaipa
California after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Vernon graduated from Palisade High School in 1961.
He joined the United States Army in 1961 for 2 years, followed by 2 years in the Army National Guard for 2 more
years.
As a youth he worked construction and farm work. In
1965 he began working on the D&RGW railroad in Grand
Junction Colorado as a Car Foreman until he retired in the
year 2000. In his retirement he enjoyed working as an amateur arborist growing trees he collected from all over the
United States. He also built a machine shop where he rebuilt old Ford flathead motor parts and sold those parts all
over the world including Australia and Japan.
He was preceded in death by his father James Davidson,
his mother Sevina Davidson, his sister Joan (Davidson)
Gilmore and grandson Ryan Winn.
Survived by Dale (Betty) Davidson, of Boise, Idaho; Art
(Jeanne)Davidson , of Apache Junction Arizona; Arlene
(Lynn) Goad, of Clifton Colorado; (Son)Steve Talley,
of Denver Colorado; (daughter) Shawna (Jeff) Quast of
Bismarck ND; (daughter)Yvonne Davidson ( Anthony
Hummell) of Lakewood Colorado ; Dewayne Davidson of
Grand Junction Colorado ; (granddaughter) Sarah Winn
and great grandson’s Timmy and Alex Winn of Beulah ND;
grandson Ben Delzerof Grand Forks ND; great grandson
Aidan Winn, Mandan ND; great granddaughter Evelyn
Winn Bismarck ND; as well as many other beloved niece’s
and nephews.
A private Family Services will be held at a later date in
Palisade Colorado.
