Darlene LaRae Knipping, of Grand Junction, passed
away on October 1, 2022 at Sandrock Ridge Care and
Rehabilitation Center in Craig, Colorado. She was 84
years old.
Darlene was born on October 8, 1937 in Omaha,
Nebraska. She spent her childhood in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Darlene married Gerald Joseph Knipping on December
27, 1956. He preceded her in death.
Darlene was a homemaker, taking care of her four
children, Theresa, Thomas, Kristine and Laura. She is
survived by; Theresa (Nisley), Kristine (Pennington),
and Laura (Sparks), 7 grandchildren, and 4 greatgrandchildren.
A service of interment will take place on November 3,
2022 at the Veterans Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Parkway,
at 1:00 pm.
