Earl “Leroy” Miracle,
age 73, died at HopeWest
Hospice of Grand Junction,
November 1, 2021, after a
long battle with cancer.
He was born December
21, 1947, in Cottage Grove,
Oregon, to William E.
and Dorthey L. (Galyean)
Miracle. His siblings are Larry (Lisa), Patty (Gary)
Baker, Ron (Karen), and Betty Ann (Les) Perich. Leroy’s
parents moved the family to Grand Junction, Colorado,
in 1950 where Leroy graduated from high school in
1967. Later that year Leroy married Rita Harris; they
later divorced after having two sons, Nicholas (Melissa),
and David (Cheri). In 1968 Leroy joined the Airforce,
was stationed overseas, and was Honorably Discharged
in 1969. In 1975 Leroy married the love of his life,
Glenda, and gained daughter, Roberta (Steve) Fenske.
Leroy was a logging truck driver. In 1986 he was
seriously injured in an accident when a log rolled from
the load and crushed his lower back and legs.
Leroy enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time
with his grandchildren. There can be no doubt of
Leroy’s love for the Lord. He was a vital member of
Trinity Baptist Church (later Orchard Mesa Baptist
Church), where he served as Elder and Deacon for many
decades. He continued to witness for the Lord until the
Lord called him home November 1, 2021.
Services to be held 2:00 p.m., March 19, 2022, at
Orchard Mesa Baptist Church, 2748 B 1/2 Road, Grand
Junction CO 81503.
