Frank Thomas DeLosa,
age 81, eldest son of the
late Frank and Pauline
DeLosa of Brooklyn N.Y.,
died peacefully November
15, 2021, while surrounded
by his family at St. Mary’s
Hospital.
Frank graduated from Boys High School in Brookyln,
N.Y. and attended Brooklyn College where he obtained
an Administrative Associates degree.
While attending Boys High, Frank met the love of his
life, Barbara Valentine. They were married on May 12,
1962, and have celebrated 59 years together. They had
two children, Barbara Ann, and Frank James.
Frank worked as a Butcher and was a Four-Color
Pressman for the City of New York, as well as an
Elevator Mechanic for Emergency Services of New
York City. He was co-founder and Assistant venerable
of Per Sempre Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy, #2344,
Rosedale, N.Y.
On August 1, 1977, Frank, Barbara and their two
children arrived in Grand Junction, Colorado, at which
time he contracted work on the Rio Grande Railroad. He
became a member of the Knights of Columbus Council
#1062 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He would later
promote and charter Knights of Columbus Councils for
Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Council
#13621, Grand Junction, and Sacred Heart Catholic
Church Council # 14006, in Fruita Colorado. For the
next 25 plus years Frank would serve the Knights of
Columbus, becoming a Fourth degree Knight, serving
as Past Faithful Navigator of Assembly 1519, Former
District Marshal of the Western Slope, and Former
District Deputy 31 as well as Membership Chairman.
Frank loved helping with Fish Frys, pancake
breakfasts, and his passion, liaison and Color Guard
for Special Olympics. In fact, Frank loved helping with
anything. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you
needed it.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara DeLosa
(Valentine); daughter, Barbara Ann (Jon) Infanger, of
Grand Junction; son, Frank James DeLosa, Clearwater,
FL; beloved grandsons, Nicholas Harshman, of Grand
Junction, CO, and Joshua Harshman, of Fruita; brothers,
Anthony DeLosa (Marie), and John DeLosa (Evelyn),
Bay Ridge, N.Y.
Visitation will be at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515
Patterson Rd., Grand Junction, CO, Sunday, November
28, 2021, from 12 - 1:00 p.m. Rosary service will
begin at 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 790 26 1/2 Rd.,
Grand Junction, CO, Monday, November 29, 2021, at
10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Immaculate Heart of
Mary Church Columbarium.

Virginia Johnson

Jackie was born in
Grand Junction, Colorado,
to William and Margaret
Johnson (Laycock). She
met and married the love
of her life, Robert Lee Johnson, and the two had a
lasting and loving marriage of over 58 years.
Jackie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother
who enjoyed playing bridge, reading, spending time
with friends and enjoying quality time with her family.
She loved all animals and cherished her family cats and
dogs. In addition to being a homemaker, Jackie also
worked at Vogue Clothing Store in Grand Junction, was
a receptionist at Mesa Memorial, and spent many years
at Mesa College in the book store.
Jackie will be dearly missed by her husband, Bob;
son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sandi Johnson;
grandsons, Dylan, Dustin, Dakota, and Dawson; sister,
Phyllis Worster; aunt, Virginia Gray, and several other
relatives and friends.
A private family funeral was held at Olinger Chapel
Hill Mortuary November 23, 2021. Jackie will be laid to
rest in Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
Donations, in Jackie’s honor, may be made to The
Denver Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
