Wayne Foster, 71, of
Greeley, passed away at
his home on Tuesday,
November 2, 2021.
He was born May 16,
1950, in Grand Junction,
Colorado, to Bert and
Betty Foster. He and
his life partner, Bonni
(Leyden), had been together for over 20 years.
Wayne graduated from high school in Grand Junction
and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He
went on to be a letter carrier, which he did for over 30
years.
He enjoyed rock hunting, fishing, hunting and horses,
anything to spend time outdoors. He loved spending
time with family and friends. He was also who to call
when you needed anything.
He is survived by his wife, Bonni; son, Jason (Stefanie)
Foster; daughter, Kari Unselt; step-son, Jarrod Leyden;
step-daughters, Nicole (Jeff) Petersen, and Christy
(Clinton) Hornig; brothers, Roger (Claudia) Foster
and Stan (Gale) Foster; grandchildren, Mason Foster,
Lexi Foster, Jack Foster, Alyssa Unselt, Brook Rizor,
Jade Leyden, Carsyn Petersen, Gavin Petersen, Kelton
Petersen, Keegan Hornig, Aiden Hornig, and Addison
and Kynlie Hornig, and great-granddaughter, Emma
Rizor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother,
Raleigh Foster.
Celebration of life will be December 5 , 2021, at
Eagles Lodge in Orchard Mesa Colorado at 1:00 p.m.
