Woolsey
April 8, 1951 - July 15, 2021
Kathy Woolsey passed
away peacefully at St.
Mary’s Hospital &
Medical Center at the age
of 70. She was surrounded
by her family and passed
after a short illness.
She was born in Sparta, WI, to Harold and Rosella
Schiller. Kathy grew up in her younger years on a farm
with four sisters and two brothers. She was part of the
West Beaver Creek 4-H Club.
Kathy and Merlo met in Sparta, WI, in the summer of
1969. Later that year, the two got married and had two
sons who were the apple of her eye. She loved her whole
family and loved taking care of them. She worked at
Mesa College in food services for 25 years. She also
worked at the Mesa Mall at A&W, then after retiring,
went back to Mesa Mall where she made a lot of new
friends.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Merlo, of Fruita,
CO; sons, Jeffrey Woolsey, of Mack, CO, and Patrick
Woolsey, of Loma, CO. She is preceded in death by her
parents, brother, and sister.
Graveside services will take place Wednesday, August
18, 2021, at New Elmwood Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.
