Jennifer Rae Rufenacht
Lindbo, 50, passed on June 9,
2021, at Denver Presbyterian St.
Lukes Medical Center.
She was born October 22,
1970, in Wheatridge, Colorado.
Jennifer attended school in
the Jefferson County School
system. She graduated from
the University of Alaska, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Elementary Education and went on to obtain her Master of Arts
Degree in Reading Literacy from the University of Northern
Colorado. Jennifer taught in the District 51 system for many years.
She married Cory Lindbo, of Grand Junction, CO, and they later
divorced.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Sharon Rufenacht Lueck, and
step-father, Dale Lueck; her children, Amy Black (Kolt), Mandy
Wells (James) and Cole Lindbo; grandson, Weston Wells, of Grand
Junction, CO; brother, Brady Rufenacht (Julie); nieces, Leah and
Laci Rufenacht, of Raleigh, NC; niece, Megan Coffman (David);
great-niece, Addison Coffman, of Fayetteville, NC; aunt, Barbara
Bausch, of Mayetta, KS; uncle, Leon Meats, of Craig CO, and
a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Vyrl
Rufenacht; maternal grandparents, Gladys and Gilbert Meats, and
paternal grandparents, Jenni and Henry Rufenacht.
Jennifer experienced extensive world travel as a child and had a
love for cooking, crafting, and planning festive family events. One
of Jennifer’s greatest joys was spending time with her family and
hoping for many grandchildren. She had a deep passion for books
and reading which will be greatly missed.
Jennifer requested that her ashes be cast in the Colorado mountains
with wildflower seeds. An outdoor service will be held Friday, June
18, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Martin Mortuary, 550 North Avenue, Grand
Junction, Colorado 81501. Dress is bright and casual.
Memorial contributions may be made to the City of Grand
Junction Parks and Recreation, for the purchase of flowers, trees,
and bushes for the beautification of the City
