CHRISTINA M. STANLEY

Christina Marla Jorgensen was born in Aarhus, Denmark Dec. 15. 1882. In 1888 she came to the United States with her parents and seven brothers and sisters, two brothers having preceded the family to make preparation for their arrival. They settled in Dannebrog, Neb. where Carl M. Jorgensen, one of the last remaning brothers, now resides. The other living brother, Pete, resides now In Omaha. In 1898 Christina Jorgensen moved to Rawlhas, Wyo., joining her brothers, Pete and Carl and a sister, Stina. It was there that she met Claude Gilbert Stanley and they were married Aug. 25. 1905. To this union were born five children: four sons and one daughter. Two sons, Gilbert and Cecil preceded their parents In death. Gilbert In 1913 In Denver and Cecil In 1929 in Gypsum. Three children and one grandson survive; Claude William Stanley of Gypsum; Charles Arthur Stanley of Eagle and Prances Marlon Stanley of Denver, and Robert Paul Stanley of Eagle. Mrs Stanley passed away Jan. 31 following complications after an operation. It was her wish that she be laid to rest beside the grave of her first child. Gilbert In the family plot in Crown Hill cemetery In Denver. Relatives from out of the state attending the services In Denver Feb. 3 were her brother. Carl M. Jorgensen of Dannebrog. Neb. and his daughter. Janet Laurltsen; her nephew Carl T. L. Jorgensen of Plnedale, Wyo., son of Mrs Stanley s late brother. Nels. and his wife Rachel who were accompanied by Laurlta J. Baldwin, niece of Laramie. Mrs Stanley was a member of the Lutheran Church and Crater Rebekah Lodge No. 105. Sendees were held Monday. Feb. 3 at 3:30 p. m. In the drawing room of Ollnger Mortuary. 16th at Boulder, Denver with the Reverend Delbert C. Paulson of the Golden Methodist Church officiating. The music was furIshed by the famed Ollnger male quartet who sang Mrs. Stanley’s favorite hymn. “What a Friend We Have In Jesus” and “Coin' Home.” accompanied by Lester D. Wheelans at the organ who also played the “Lord’s Prayer” as a solo. The pallbearers were John Beasley, Paul Beasley of Eagle; Alvin Webb. C. Francis Plllsbury. Herman Ohlswager and Tom A. Fleming, all of Denver. Among those from Eagle county attending the funeral worn Mrs Lena Hendrickson of Gypsum. Mrs John Beasley and Mrs Paul Beasley of Eagle, also Dorothy Paul of Denver, sister of Mrs Charles Stanley. —o—o o
