Bill was born in Hot
Springs, SD, October 7, 1923.
He grew up on the prairie of
Murdo, SD before graduating
from Hot Springs High
School in 1941. Bill attended
Los Angeles City College before entering World War II in September
1944. He was stationed in Ceringiola, Italy with the Army
Air Corps, 456th Bomb Group. He flew 19 sorties in active
duty before returning to the United States at the end of the war
in Europe in 1945 . After the war, Bill attended and graduated
from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
Bill went to work as a civil servant for the Bureau of Reclamation
where he met and married Marjorie Lange in 1960. His
most relaxing moments were spent on the golf course. He spent
80 years playing the game he loved. Bill was also an avid Denver
Broncos fan and held season tickets for over 20 years.
Bill retired from his job as a federal executive in 1983. He and
Marjorie moved to Grand Junction in 2001.
Bill is survived by the love of his life and wife, Marjorie
Lange; four children, Eric Lange, Lakewood, CO; Judi Lange,
Lakewood, CO; Paul and Vicky Lange, Brighton, CO, and Bernie
Lange and Kelli Lange, Grand Junction, CO, and his six
grandchildren.

William “Bill” Lange, 91, Grand Junction, died June 12, 2015,
at HopeWest and Hospice Care Center. No formal services are
planned.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie; threee sons, Eric of Lakewood,
Paul of Brighton, and Bernie of Grand Junction; a daughter
Judi Lange of Lakewood; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
