Ruth L. Farley

Ruth L. Farley of Loma, CO, died January 22, 2015 at home. She was 83 years old.
Ruth was born June 25, 1931, in Clayton, OH, to Albert and Ruth Wetzel. She married Richard Farley on October 22, 1948.
She surrounded herself with the things she loved, family, children, friends and serving others. Ruth spent her time working at the Fruita Thrift store,
and as the Director of the Agape Food Basket for the past 18
years.
Ruth has been a faithful member of the Fruita Methodist
Church from the time she and her husband relocated to the Loma area in 1986.
Ruth is survived by her children, Richard (Nancy) Farley of
Mesa, AZ, Becky (Bob) Montgomery of Avondale, AZ, Elaine
(Ladd) Christensen of Lakeside, AZ, Jim (Donna) Farley of Mesa, CO, Beverly (Gary) Edelen of Gilbert, AZ, Donna Sullivan
of St. Johnsbury, VT, Tom Farley of Sahuarita, AZ and Hank
Farley of Gilbert, AZ. She was the proud grandmother of 23
grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, a
daughter, Patrice, and son-in-law, Ladd Christensen. She was
greatly loved and will be missed by all.
Our family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to all
the people in the community that were a part of Mom’s life.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January
27, 2015 at the Fruita United Methodist Church.
Ruth’s request to be laid to rest with her husband in Phoenix,
AZ, will be carried out later this week by her family.

Ruth L. Farley, 83, Loma, died Jan. 22, 2015, at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fruita United Methodist Church.She is survived by four sons, Richard of Mesa, Arizona, Jim of Thousand Oaks, California, Tom of Sahuarita, Arizona, and Hank of Gilbert, Arizona; four daughters, Rebecca Montgomery of Avon-dale, Arizona, Elaine Christensen of Lakeside, Arizona, Beverly Edelen of Gilbert and Donna Sullivan of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; one brother, Albert Wetzel of Clayton, Ohio; two sisters, Wilma Brandenberg of Florida and Peggy Voorhees of Thousand Oaks; 23 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand-child.Memorial contributions to HopeWest, 2754 Compass Drive, Grand Junction 81506.
