Donald H. Hagerman, 71, Grand Junction, died Nov. 24, 2014,
at his home.
Service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery
of Western Colorado.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Ahrens; two sons, Ty of Littleton
and Kyle of Grand Junction; three brothers, Larry of Grand Junction,
Andy of Milton Freewater, Oregon, and Steve of Grand Junction;
and seven grandchildren.

Don passed away at his home
with his loved ones by his side on
November 24, 2014. He was 71.
Don was a Grand Junction native.
He was born on July 6, 1943, to
Oscar and Eva Hagerman. He was
one of four boys. When Don was
17 he enlisted in the US Air Force
as an Air Rescue Medic. He was
discharged with honors. Shortly after, Don met the love of his life, Jan
Ahrens, who he was married to for more than 46 years. During that
time they had two sons, Ty (Seana) and Kyle (Mandy).
Don had an Associate’s degree from Mesa Junior College followed by
a B.A. from Western State College.
Don was a conductor for the Denver Rio-Grande/Southern Pacific/
Union Pacific Railroads until his retirement in 2004. After retiring, he
was the President of Pond’s Orchard Water Corporation.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, camping, fishing,
fireworks, reading and collecting.
Don was preceded in death by both of his parents and a grandchild,
Tyler. He is survived by his wife; sons; six grandchildren, Ashley,
Hunter, Clark, Hope, Riley and Kal, and his three brothers, Larry, Andy
and Steve.
Don was a member of the NRA.
A Graveside service will be December 1, 2014, at Veterans Memorial
Cemetery 3:00 p.m.
