Larry James Horner, 63, Grand Junction, died Oct. 16, 2014, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
Mr. Horner was a heavy construction
supervisor.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Callahan- Edfast Mortuary Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda; one son, James Michael of Grand Junction; one daughter, SuWanda Terrill of Grand Junction; two brothers, Mark of Grand Junction and Mike of Telluride; three sisters, Sandy Bates of Palisade, Charlene Benton of Grand Junction, and Leigh Birdwell of Wendell, Idaho; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Larry was born October 5, 1951, in Heber, Utah to Charles and Nila Horner. He died October 16, 2014, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. Larry was one of eight children.
He was raised in Telluride, Colorado where he graduated high school in 1969. He joined the Marines shortly after graduating and served from 1969 to 1971. He met and married the love of his life, Wanda Lewis on June 29, 1974. They had two children, SuWanda and James.
He was currently employed as a supervisor with Metcalf Excavation.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Geraldine Thayer and brother, Jack Horner.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter, SuWanda Terrill (Chris); son, James Horner (Casey); two brothers, Mike Horner, and Mark Horner (Christine); three sisters, his twin, Leigh Birdwell (Bill); Charlene Benton (John), and Sandy Bates (Gary); brother-in law, Roger Thayer (Frances); sister-in-law, Dixie Horner; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Emily.
Larry was loved by many and will be missed by all.
