Rob Burnett, 63, Grand Junction, died July 11, 2014, at home.
A service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday at Martin Mortuary.
Mr. Burnett was a real estate broker.
Survivors include spouse, Cheryl; one son, Dale of Grand Junction;
one daughter, Carlene Mclaughlin of Grand Junction; his
mother, Nancy McManus of Grand Junction; and one sister, Kathy
Burnett of Rocklin, California.

Robert “Rob” Henry Burnett lost
his brave fight with cancer at his
home on July 11, 2014, surrounded
by family and friends.
Rob was born July 10, 1951, to
Harry Burnett and Nancy Speck
Burnett at Mare Island Naval Base
in Vallejo, CA. Rob attended public
schools in Grand Junction before
graduating from high school
in California.
Following an honorary discharge from the Air Force, Rob returned to
Grand Junction where he owned a restaurant and worked with developmentally
disabled individuals, a profession in which Rob took great
pride. He worked in real estate for over 20 years and most recently was
a broker for Key Realty.
Rob married Cheryl Barnhart on June 5, 1993. Rob is survived by
his wife and best friend, Cheryl; children, Dale Burnett and Charlene
(Greg) Mclaughlin; sister, Kathy Burnett; mother, Nancy McManus;
nieces, Shannon and Samantha and nephews, Adam and Isaac.
Rob was dedicated to his family and many friends. He was always
eager to help others and delighted those around him with his humor
and laughter.
A celebration of Rob’s life will be held at Martin Mortuary on Saturday,
July 19 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to
HopeWest Hospice.
