Dennis passed away after a brief
battle with cancer while surrounded
by friends and family.
He was born to Leo D. and Magdalena
and raised in Mandan, ND.
Dennis worked in the tax department
for the State of North Dakota
prior to entering the U.S. Air Force
where he was stationed in Okinawa.
After serving, he attended University
of North Dakota while working in the painting business with his
Dad during summers.
While attending college, he met Penny (Anderson); they were married
in 1981. After graduating, he and Penny moved to Grand Junction in
March of 1982. Their son, Eric, was born April, 1984.
Dennis worked at Ford Motor Credit and Bobcat of the Rockies. He
enjoyed cars, golfing, and bicycling with friends. He enjoyed watching
sports, particularly the Avalanche and Rockies.
Dennis is survived by wife, Penny; son, Eric (Laynie) and granddaughter,
Audrie of Centennial; sister, Linda Gilmore of Crawfordville;
nephew, Jonathan (Maylim) and their sons, Noah and Matthew
of Panama City, and brother, Dean of Denver. Dennis was preceded in
death by his parents.
Services will be at Callahan-Edfast on Friday, May 23 at 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to HopeWest or a charity
of your choice.

Dennis A. Landeis, 63, Grand Junction, died May 18, 2014, at
HopeWest and Hospice Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Callahan-
Edfast Mortuary.
He is survived by his wife Penny; one son, Eric of Centennial;
one brother, Dean of Denver; one sister, Linda Gilmore of Crawfordville,
Florida; and one grandchild.
