Joe “Boy” Serrano, 58, Grand Junction, died Feb. 4, 2014, at his home.
Rosary will be said Sunday at 7 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary,
followed by services 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic
Church. Burial will follow at 7 p.m. at New Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Carlos Romero of Dickinson, N.D.,
Michael Serrano of Fruita; three daughters, Candace Serrano, Jamie
Serrano, both of Grand Junction, and Rosemarie Martinez of
Fruita; and one sister, Joyce Serrano of Grand Junction.

Mr. Serrano was a mechanic.

and Michael A. Serrano of Fruita; three daughters, Candace E. Serrano
and Jamie D. Serrano, both of Grand Junction, and Rosemarie
N. Martinez of Fruita; and four sisters, Joyce Serrano. Stella Luciano,
Barbara Juarez and Jan Crespin, all of Grand Junction.

April 25, 1955 - February 4, 2014
Joe (Boy) Serrano, son of Joe D.
Serrano and Ida C. Trujillo died in
his home on February 4, 2014, after
a long illness.
He was born in Santa Fe, New
Mexico. He attended Central High
School and went on to the University
of Colorado, majoring in Applied
Sciences. He married Donna
G. Romero in 1978 (deceased). He
lived and worked in the Grand Junction area.
Joe is survived by five children, Carlos (Savannah) Romero of Dickinson
ND; Candace Serrano, and Jamie (Brandon) Zarlengo of Grand
Junction; Rosie (Jed) Martinez and Michael Serrano of Fruita, CO;
four grandchildren, Jayda and Braxton Romero; Keagan Ambriz, and
Isabella Martinez; four sisters, Joyce Serrano, Stella Luciano, Barbara
(Luis) Juarez, and Jan (Rudy) Crespin all of Grand Junction; numerous
nieces and nephews. His parents and sister, Dolores Conteras, preceded
him in death.
He was an avid fisherman. He loved to ride his Harley. He was a mechanic
by trade and restored old cars as a hobby.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th, at Callahan-Edfast
and Funeral Mass will be held at St Joseph’s Church in Grand Junction
on Monday, February 10th at 11:00 a.m. with interment at Elmwood
Cemetery, Fruita.
