John Audino passed away June
3, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital.
He was 86 years old.
He was born in Grand Junction,
CO, to Batista and Sarafina Audino
on February 12, 1927. John
served in the US Army Signal
Corps during the WWII Occupation of Japan following the
bombing of Hiroshima. He attended
Mesa College. He was employed as a Deputy County Clerk.
John was also a letter carrier and retired from the post office in
1982, after 30 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge No. 575. He loved to
fish, hunt and spend time with his family. John and Myrna (Giese)
were married October 10, 1950. They were looking forward to their
63rd anniversary.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna; sons, Joseph and James (Gail);
daughter, Linda Foster (David); sister, Merlina Heighes; three
grandchildren, Bonnie (Matt) Cessna, Adam (Laura) Audino, and
Lisa Bottinelli, and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in
death by sisters, Ann Simonetti, Mary Trifiletti and Irene Hannigan
and brothers, Ernest and Paul.
Memorial service will be Friday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. at
Callahan-Edfast.

John T. Audino, 86, Grand Junction, died June 3, 2013, at St.
Mary Hospital & Medical Center.
Mr. Audino was a postal carrier.
Memorial services are to be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Callahan-
Edfast Mortuary Chapel.
Survivors include his wife Myrna of Grand Junction; two sons,
Joe of Grand Junction and Jim of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one daughter,
Linda Foster of Arvada; one sister, Merlina Heighes of Loveland;
and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic
Church Building Fund, 230 N. Third St., Grand Junction 81501.
