11-year-old Avon boy killed in rollover in Summit County, by Caddie Nath.
Summit County. An 11-year-old boy from Avon was killed in a car crash Thursday morning after his father, who was driving, lost control of the vehicle, reportedly rolling it at least once, according to a report from the Summit County Coroner's Office.
Jasiel Blanco ESTRADA, of Avon, was reportedly ejected from the vehicle when it crashed near the Eisenhower Tunnel on Interstate 70. He was unrestrained sleeping in the backseat at the time of the accident.
He was taken to St. Anthony's Summit Medical Center in Frisco, where he died just before 10 a.m.
No other individuals were injured and it is believed no other vehicles were involved. The accident remains under investigation, according to the coroner's statement.
The highway did not close as a result of the accident.
Heavy snowfall made for slick and snow-packed conditions on I-70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel.

Jasiel Blanco Estrada, 11, of Avon since 2009, passed away on Thursday in Frisco.
He was born on June 1, 2001, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Miguel Blanco Avila and Grasiela Estrada Pena.
Jasiel was a sixth-grade student at Homestake Peak Middle School in Eagle-Vail and was a soccer player.
He is survived by his father and mother; brothers Jason and Justin Blanco; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
A rosary service will be held on from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Homestake Peak Middle School in Eagle-Vail with a reception to follow. A mass of Christian burial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at The Chapel at Beaver Creek, 33 Elk Track Road, with the Rev. Father Jesus Garcia as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date in Chihuahua, Mexico. Contributions may be made to the family. Bailey-Kent Funeral Home of Leadville is assisting the family with arrangements.
