Ralph William “R.W.” Harrison, 70, of Napa, Calif., passed away Nov. 24.

He was born in Columbia, Mo., on Nov. 2, 1942. He was the second son of Crockett Irvin and Mary Frances Harrison of Mexico, Mo.

After graduating from David H. Hickman High School in 1960, Ralph served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years. He received his college degree in hotel and restaurant management and enjoyed a successful 35-year career managing hotels and resorts in Ohio, Missouri, Colorado, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam. Ralph was recognized nationally and internationally as one of the top general managers in the hotel industry. He was a tough as nails hotelier yet sensitive to his employees' needs.

Ralph was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved to run, participated in various marathons and organized road races to benefit local charities.

Ralph the hotelier, marathoner, philanthropist and father will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his four children, Benjamin, Lauren, Jessie and William. Condolences can be sent to Benjamin Harrison, 2 Beech Bark Place, The Woodlands, TX 77382.
