Eloise Jones of Grand Junction
Colorado passed away on October
21, 2010. She was 87.
Eloise was born December 10,
1922 to "Jack" Harris and Emma
Belle Edwards in Collbran, Colorado.
They moved to the Appleton
area, where she continued her
childhood and graduated from
high school.
Eloise married Verne Jones in 1948. They lived in the Grand Valley
and had three sons together, Jimmie, Joe, and Jay Jones.
Eloise graduated from Mesa College and Western State College
obtaining a Teaching Certificate. She enjoyed teaching grade school
in Fruita and the Grand Valley for most of her life. She was a member
of The Order of the Eastern Star, the Christian Church, and a
leader of the Fruita Rainbow Girls.
Eloise enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, gardening,
and quilting. Her favorite activities included laughing with family,
storytelling, catching up with old friends, and serving her guests
homemade soup.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Verne, and her sons,
Jimmy and Jay (Colleen). She is survived by her son, Joe (Sharon)
of Grand Junction; grandchildren, Chris (Heidi) Jones of Fruita;
Meredith (Larry) Bolzer of Grand Junction; Rachel (Greg) Adams of
Clifton; Tressa Jones of Grand Junction and Labecca Jones of
Hobbs, New Mexico, and great grandchildren, Alanna, Jimmy,
Gunner, Cole, and Lucas.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 24, at Callahan-
Edfast Mortuary (2515 Patterson Road) in Grand Junction. A
funeral service will be held at 10:00 on Monday, October 25, at
Callahan-Edfast Mortuary with graveside service to follow at Eagelite
Cemetery, Collbran, Colorado.

Eagle Ridge Care Center.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m.
Sunday with a funeral service at
10 a.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary.
Burial will be at Eagalite
Cemetery.
Ms. Jones was a teacher.
Survivors include one son,
Joe of Grand Junction; fi ve
grandchildren; and fi ve greatgrandchildren.
