c.1890: Iron Mask Mill, Belden, Colorado. This old mill is torn down and a new one built in solid granite. Ore transport system, railcar ("Wabash" on side) and tracks visible. Snow on ground. "Railroad problems" -- caption from Edwards School Scrapbook, page 16. The scrapbook was created as a youth citizens' league project between 1954-1955. Several large logs appear to have fallen or rolled at the Eagle Mine in Gilman, Colorado. Miners are coming down the hill (right, center). The railroad line and a railroad car are directly to the left of the mess.
