The fiftieth reunion event of the Fruita Union High School's graduating class of 1927 was held on June 11-12, 1977 at Hawthorn Park and other locations in Grand Junction, Colorado. During the portion of the event in Hawthorne Park, the Mesa County Oral History Project interviewed and recorded assenting attendees.

For Love of a Navajo was a silent film that was most probably made sometime in 1922, and released in that year or in 1923. In his book New Mexico Filmmaking, Jeff Berg says that the movie was filmed by the Durango Film Company or the Navajo Film Company at that time, and cites articles from the Farmington Times-Rustler that mention the filming of the movie in their community.

A large snowfall in Mesa County, Colorado. According to game warden John Duncan Hart, the Winter of 1919-20 was hard and severe on wildlife. The harshness of the weather meant that the Department of Fish and Game had to make arrangements for the feeding of the California quail, only recently introduced to the state of Colorado. Upon its founding and into the early Twentieth century, the Mesa County Fair was held first at the old Mesa County Fairgrounds north of Bookcliff Avenue and between 7th Street and Bookcliff Drive, and then in the area now known as Lincoln Park. According to Howard Shults, his father, auctioneer James Shults, was the last person to organize the Mesa County Fair in this location.

A strike of the Typographical Union protesting the lack of a signed contract with The Daily Sentinel newspaper. The strike was not concerned with wages.
