Elmer J. Bindley, known as Jack, came to Colorado in July of 1910 and entered into the barber trade in Eagle. This business, the Silver Eagle Barber and Beauty Shop, continued until his death in 1959. Jack had ran the shop in partnership with his son, ira, who took over upon his father's death until his own retirement in 1986. The "cradle roll" was a listing of babies and young children kept by a church; in this case, most likely the Eagle Methodist Church. The invitation is a postcard with a 1 cent stamp signed by Mrs. H.
