A view of the dining room in La Cave, a former French restaurant in Vail. La Cave was opened on New Year's Eve 1963, by Jim Slevin. It was a popular restaurant for dinnertime meals and was located in the basement of the Plaza Lodge. Slevin sold La Cave in 1968 to Peter Cremaris. From the verso, "French and Basque cuisine. A steam crane preparing to lower a section of the new turntable at Minturn into the turntable pit. In 1928, a new 120-foot turntable was set in place, replacing the old 100-foot table installed in 1912. The older turntable could not accommodate the 3600-series simple-articulated locomotives assigned to the area.

The iconic Red Cliff Bridge on U.S. Highway 24, across the canyon of the Eagle River at Red Cliff, Colorado. Completed on July 28, 1941; dedicated and opened to travel on August 3, 1941. Dimensions: 470 ft. long; 209 ft. high; 30-ft. roadway and two 18-inch curbs. The Red Cliff Bridge was entered into the National Register of Historic Places on February 4, 1985, in recognition of its contribution to the heritage of the state of Colorado.

"Along with the move of the county seat came an obligation to build a modern county courthouse. Designed by renowned architect J. Francis Pillsbury, the Eagle County Courthouse was constructed in 1932 at a cost of $60,000. The sheriff's office was on the basement floor along with living quarters for the jailer. "The famous mountain, 14,176 feet in height, lies at the extreme northern end of the Sawatch Mountains, near the headwaters of Eagle River. The cross is formed by a deep vertical fissure in the face of the mountain, 1,500 feet in length, intersected by a transverse ledge of some 750 feet, both retaining permanently deep snow with which they are filled."
