He was born Dec. 23, 1897 at Spruce Creek near Glenwood, and as a young man lived in the Eagle area. He married Adelia Thorndale at Leadville, Oct. 25, 1930. The Great K & A Train Robbery was filmed in Glenwood Canyon in 1926. Tom Mix, the star, did his own stunts, including some on a moving train, that thrilled those watching. James J.
